“Adopt an Olive Tree” is our project that allows you to adopt an olive tree in Italy. “Adopt an olive tree” offers to those who are passionate about protecting and preserving the Tuscan heritage, a chance to maintain the culture of the olive tree and its ancient methods of cultivation, by adopting an olive tree in Tuscany. Here, olives are an invaluable part of our rural traditions and cuisine. Today in the fields of Podere Montisi, under the church of Santa Maria in Travalle, we still use the same ancient methods of cultivation that our ancestors used many years ago.

The Program and Benefits
By adopting an olive tree in Tuscany, you are supporting the biological cultivation of our trees according to the ancient methods of the Tuscan tradition. With your support, together we will contribute to the preservation of the Tuscan landscape, which today is being threatened by various intensive crops.
You will have the added benefit of learning about this ancient craft while following your tree's journey throughout the year: from the winter pruning season, to flowering in spring, the green olive buds in summer, and finally the picking and pressing of our ripe Tuscan olives in autumn.

1 free night for two people at the Podere Montisi BioAgriturismo, as part of a minimum two-night stay
15% discount for overnight stays at the Podere Montisi BioAgriturismo for 1 year
15% discount on the purchase of farm products for 1 year
Seasonal updates on your olive tree as well as information on each stage of olive cultivation: fertilization and biodynamic preparations, pruning, shredding, flowering "mignola", olive growth, harvesting, and finally pressing
GPS coordinates of your tree
The opportunitiy to participate in the harvesting and crushing of the olives in Oct/Nov (3 weeks notice required)

How to Adopt your Organic Olive Tree in Italy

Send a bank transfer of €90 to: Azienda Agricola BioAgrituristica Podere Montisi, Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena IBAN: IT27M0103021500000003825032 - causal "Adopt an Olive Tree of Podere Montisi".
In case of adoptions from outside of Italy, information on shipping costs will be provided upon request.

Once payment has been received, you will receive your certificate of adoption via email. Your gift on 1 litre of olive oil will be sent in the mail within 5 days of adoption.
IMPORTANT: The "Adopt an Olive Tree from Podere Montisi" project has a validity of 1 year, and is not automatically renewed. As each project ends, you can renew the contract by signing up again. Note that the adoption does not involve the transfer of any right to the chosen plant by Azienda Agricola Podere Montisi.
